Super Seth x Tonya 23 is an athletic colt blending the proven speed and class of Group 1 winning sire and NZ Champion First Season Sire, Super Seth with the stamina and versatility of Ocean Park mare, Tonya. This exceptional colt was handpicked by Neil Jenkinson FBAA and Matt Dunn for his exceptional pedigree and athleticism.
With an impressive A+ TrueNicks rating and 20/20 rating by G1 Goldmine and has an aptitude of 1400-2000m, he is a mid-November foal and given that he’s just over 14 months old, you wouldn’t pick it against the August and September foaled colts, even though 2 to 3 months is a huge difference at this age. Because of his age, he’ll be staying at Waikato Stud for a few more months, with a plan to bring him home on a direct flight to Brisbane in May, just before winter in NZ. He will then be broken in and educated at Newington Farm ensuring that we can break him in during the warmer Queensland winter – a key advantage in his early development.
Super Seth (Dundeel x Salutations) was an elite racehorse with an explosive turn of foot, winning five of his 12 starts, including the prestigious 2019 Group 1 Caulfield Guineas (1600m) in a breathtaking finish.
