He is by the exceptional seven-time Group 1-winning stallion Highland Reel (IRE), out of Cruz de Vega (AUS), a four-time winner herself and daughter of the legendary Lope De Vega (IRE), who has produced over 200 stakes horses, including 22 Group 1 winners.
Highland Reel, in turn, is a son of the great Galileo – the ultimate sire of sires. Lofty has been broken in and is already making a strong impression in his first full preparation with Matt Dunn, one of Australia’s leading regional trainers.
